A question worth asking:

Adam and Eve were given one command—and they couldn’t remain faithful. Later, God gave ten commandments, and His people still broke them. All throughout history, God’s people were deceived, rebelled, and fell short again and again.

What does that tell us about humanity?

It tells us that no matter how clear the command…no matter how sincere the intention…we cannot be faithful in our own strength.

That’s exactly why God sent His one and only Son.

Obedience was never meant to be the ultimate proof of a true follower of Christ—because if it were, none of us would stand. The gospel isn’t about human faithfulness; it’s about God’s faithfulness.

So here’s the real question:
If obedience has never been something humanity could sustain on its own, why do we still treat it as the primary measure of genuine faith rather than love, trust, and reliance on Christ?

Just something to reflect on.
