“I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world… There is a judge for the one who rejects me, and that very word which I spoke will condemn them at the last day.”
Jesus was very clear about His role.
He did not come to judge.
He came to save.
And if we are called to be like Jesus… then we have to ask ourselves:
Why do we so often take on a role He never claimed for Himself?
There is a Judge.
But it’s not us.
And the judgment is not today.
It is on the last day.
That means something powerful for how we treat people right now.
It means people have time.
It means people have space.
It means people have opportunity to be transformed.
As we study the Bible with others, our role is not to condemn, measure, or hold people back. Our role is to introduce them to the One who saves.
Because sin enslaves.
And the Spirit of God is the only One who can truly set a person free.
We don’t change people by judging them. God changes people by giving them His Spirit.
Jesus came to save.
Let’s be like Him.
